Chris Rose references FredEx during Pats-Jags game in London
As the clock ticked down to the two-minute warning in Jacksonville's 32-16 win over the Patriots in London Monday morning, New England faced a fourth-and-26 from their own 10, trying to keep themselves in it while down 25-16 at the time.
And we got a flashback to the last time that down and distance came in an important spot – the 2004 NFC Divisional Round game between the Eagles and Packers:
Chris Rose, on play-by-play for the game, quipped as the NFL Network broadcast went to commercial that 'maybe during the break (the Patriots) can make a call to Freddie Mitchell, and see if him and his hands are available.'
Unfortunately, unlike Donovan McNabb, Drake Maye did not find his receiver to keep the game going; Maye's pass to Hunter Henry was incomplete, and Jacksonville added one last game-sealing score in the final minutes.
We'll at least always have FredEx, who apparently doesn't deliver to England, and Rose will always have the mixed reaction on X:
