Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay never holds back when giving his honest opinion publicly, and Sunday was no different when he was asked about Carson Wentz and his status heading into the team's Week 3 game at the Titans.
Irsay was critical of his new quarterback.
"I know he wants to go, I know how hard he's worked, I know he's respected in the locker room and all those sorts of things," Irsay said. "But, he has to stay healthy. No one is hiding behind the M.O. of the past that was there, since we came here and been going through the months we've gone through, there's been difficulties. It also makes it difficult if you're not vaccinated because it's harder to depend on someone if they're not vaccinated. I mean, they have freedom of choice and we understand that. We're hoping he can come back and play well, he'll be a game time decision."
Wentz, who was a game time decision with injuries to both ankles, did end up starting the game, but the Colts lost again falling to 0-3 and Wentz struggled completing just 19 of 37 passes for 194 yards and no touchdowns.

Through three games, Wentz is completing just 60.4-percent of his passes for 692 yards, 3 TDs, and 1 INT. Wentz is now 3-11-1 since the start of the last season, as pointed out by Joe Giglio.
The good news for the Eagles, and Eagles fans, is Wentz is at least playing. Philadelphia needs him to play at least 75-percent of snaps for their draft pick from Indy to turn into a first-rounder.
