Cordy Glenn: Eagles bring in veteran tackle for workout

The Eagles have expressed confidence in Matt Pryor as their starting left tackle, but according to an ESPN repot, they recently brought in veteran tackle Cordy Glenn for a workout.

Glenn, 30-years old, has played 97 games in the NFL over his eight-year career, with 95 starts. He has spent his entire career at left tackle, which obviously attractive to the team, considering Pryor has never played the position in a game.

Glenn had a solid year for Cincinnati last season, as he allowed only 10 pressures in 291 pass-blocking snaps. He played in just six games last season due to a concussion, however, and clashed with the front office over the injury.

Former Eagles' offensive linemen Tra Thomas did a great job breaking down Glenn's game:

The question with Glenn will be what it costs to sign him. The main reason the Eagles are even working out Glenn is that Jason Peters refuses to move from right guard to tackle, which seemed like the obvious move they would make after Andre Dillard went down for the season.

There is an argument to be made for just giving Peters the money it would take to sign Glenn, but if the Eagles are not willing to negotiate with Peters, signing Glenn is a move they should obviously make.
