Giglio: Ready to dismiss Cowboys as legit threat to Eagles

Joe Giglio is ready to dismiss the Dallas Cowboys as legitimate threats to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East before the season even begins.

"I'm more concerned with the Commanders," Giglio said on Monday's 94WIP Midday Show, "and they're the team I have my eye on. Hugh, I'm going to dismiss the Cowboys. They'll be decent. I don't think they're going to win five games, they'll probably win closer to eight games. But I am ready to dismiss them as a legitimate concern in the division and the NFC."

"I'm not ready to put the fork in them just yet," Hugh Douglas disagreed. "They still have Dak. Dak is going to be in a contract year and he's going to be out there trying to showcase his talents. As much as I hate to say it, Dak didn't play bad last year...I'm not ready to put the fork in them and for whatever reason, they always give us fits...But they are definitely leaking oil."

The Cowboys' brutal offseason continues as their 25-year-old All-Pro cornerback DaRon Bland has been ruled out for 6-8 weeks with a stress fracture in his foot.

Furthermore, star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has still not reported to camp as his contract dispute inches closer to the start of the regular season.

Philadelphia is currently -140 to win the NFC East, while Dallas is +175. Washington is +1100 and the Giants are +1600, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
