Daniel Jeremiah, the top NFL draft analyst, joined the Marks & Reese Show on Monday to preview what the Eagles might do with the No. 12 overall draft pick.

Jeremiah spoke about the decision the Eagles might make between drafting a cornerback and wide receivers but also gave two interesting names on the defensive line that might fit the team's needs:

"I think more defensive line than offensive line. I think there is a strong belief in Jordan Mailata inside the building there. I think some people look at the offensive line as needs to be addressed because they didn't play well last year, but I think there is some belief that if they can keep people healthy, and that's a big if, but they feel a little bit better internally about their offensive line than maybe people do on the outside.

"A defensive lineman would make some sense. Maybe they would feel comfortable with Jaelan Phillips. If they did, he's a freak show talent. Could go Kwity Paye or something like that."

Phillips is certainly a specimen at defensive end. At 6'5'', 260 lbs, the California native finished sixth in the country with 15.5 tackles for losses and tallied eight sacks as a Miami Hurricane in 2020. While Phillips displays an outstanding combination of length and speed, the one major concern is his concussion history, which caused him to press pause on his college football career and briefly call it quits.
