Nothing about the Eagles win in Arizona on Sunday was pretty.
On a day when they could have suffered their first defeat of the season, however, it was the defense that made sure they remained undefeated.
While it wasn't perfect, Jonathan Gannon's defense allowed just 17 points on Sunday, and after five games, are 7th in the NFL in points allows at just 17.6. Their big turnover early allowed the Eagles to build the 14-0 lead that proved huge in winning the game, and they allowed points on only three of the Cardinals nine possessions.
In the latest Go Birds! Pod, James Seltzer and Eliot Shorr-Parks discuss the defense's performance against the Arizona Cardinals, debating if the missed tackles and missed field goal matter more than the dominating performance the rest of the game.
