Donovan McNabb analyzed Jalen Hurts' performance in the Eagles' Week 1 win over the Packers on the 94WIP Afternoon Show.
"Too many turnovers," McNabb told Ike Reese, Spike Eskin and Jack Fritz on Tuesday. "Trying to be somewhat of a hero trying to make the miraculous play instead of just making the easy play...For Jalen, it will be an opportunity to sit and learn from it and clean it up as we go forward."
Hurts had an up and down game, completing 20 of 34 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns in the 34-29 win, but also throwing two ugly interceptions and accounting for a lost fumble on a bad snap from new center Cam Jurgens in the first quarter.
Ultimately, Hurts was able to put together an incredible game-clinching drive in the fourth quarter to seal the win. And on the ground, he ran 13 times for 33 yards, including a big eight-yard rush late in the fourth quarter.
