The Eagles will not be benching quarterback Carson Wentz after another poor showing, this time in the team's loss to the Cleveland Browns.
"No questions about it," head coach Doug Pederson said. "He is our starter"
Pederson said he at no point considered pulling Wentz in favor of backup Jalen Hurts, and it does not seem he will consider benching him against the Seattle Seahawks next Monday night either.
Pederson also said that he believes benching Wentz or not starting him would be sending the message that the season is over.
Wentz finished the game 21/35 for 235 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. The offense once again struggled, scoring zero first-half points and finishing with just 17 points, with the final touchdown coming once the game was already out of reach.
Wentz now has 14 interceptions on the season and has a quarterback rating off 73.3, one of the worst in the NFL.
