"As hard as they could," Garofolo said when asked how hard the Eagles pushed back. "They were texting me. I can't read the words on air, but Angelo they were naughty words in those text messages. Not towards me, those swear words were (towards the decision). They were absolutely pissed. Now, you're not going to get the kind of vitriol that you're looking for publicly, they're not going to do that publicly towards the league, but I can promise you. I may even send you some screen shots, Angelo."

Garafolo detailed the two things that the Seahawks and Eagles asked the league for when hearing their games were being pushed back due to COVID outbreaks from their opponents.

"One, 'NFL, are you going to push our game next week?' And the NFL told them no. That's number one.

"Number two, they also asked, 'Well you guys are going to allow these guys to get their reinforcements back, why not just make sure we're OK from medical—which seems to be what you're concerned about—but freeze their rosters. Don't let these guys come back. But the NFL said, 'No, we're going to continue to allow these guys to come back if they test out of the COVID-19 protocol."

The Washington Football Team had 23 players on their COVID-19 list, including quarterbacks Taylor Heinicke heading into Week 15. Now, Garafolo reports a lot of those players are coming off of the COVID list, and Heinicke has a chance to play on Tuesday night at the Linc.

Furthermore, while Philadelphia received Quez Watkins back from the COVID list, they were forced to place left guard Landon Dickerson on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Sunday, meaning his status for Tuesday’s game is now in serious question.
