Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert is expected to have surgery on a fracture in his forearm as early as today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport adds Goedert is expected to be out about four weeks, "An injured reserve designated to return candidate. They believe he we will be back sooner rather than later," Rapoport said on Monday.

Goedert, 28, injured his forearm on a 28-yard catch in the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Dallas Cowboys when Markquese Bell grabbed Goedert by the right arm to make a tackle.

The Eagles have Jack Stoll, Grant Calcaterra, and Albert Okwuegbunam as tight ends on their current roster.

Goedert has 38 catches for 410 yards and two touchdowns in nine games this season.

He was placed on injured reserve last season on November 16th after suffering a shoulder injury.
