Talk about the worst possible time to lose cable and internet services.
Just before the start of Super Bowl LVII, Eagles fans gathered in their living rooms, loaded the coffee table with snacks, and grabbed the remote to get ready for the big game, only for the screen to remain black.
It was like that for thousands, as Comcast reported thousands of outages in the Kensington and Fishtown neighborhoods, just outside of Philadelphia. The culprit, according to Action News in Philadelphia, was a severed fiberoptic cable in Kensington.
As Eagles fans couldn't get the game on the TV, they took to Twitter to properly freak out about potentially not being able to see the biggest game of the year.
Comcast said multiple households had their services restored before kickoff, and were hoping to have all services restored before the start of the game.
