Joe Giglio & ESP: Eagles have to stop complaining about Super Bowl turf

Former Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson joined the list of Birds players that have voiced complaints about the field conditions at State Farm Stadium during Philly's Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs, tweeting "Run that back on legit grass, the D-line SMASH that O-line, I'm sorry."

Hasson Reddick ripped the field conditions immediately after the game, but now, months later, reports of the NFL blaming the players for slipping and sliding on the turf during the Big Game has players venting their frustrations once again.

Joe Giglio and Eliot Shorr-Parks agree that the complaints aren't a good look for the Eagles, and it needs to stop.

"The Eagles won't stop talking. Not just the Eagles, but the fanbase, about the field at the Super Bowl," Joe said. "I'm sure the Chiefs were annoyed by it…but the Eagles have to get over it. It happened. There were other treasons they lost the game. They couldn't tackle Isaiah Pacheco or Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts had a major fumble, Nick Sirianni coached scared in the second half…I can include 10 reasons the Eagles didn't win the Super Bowl. I would include the field. That's part of it. It hurt them. But it's not No. 1, and we have to get over it.

"We're getting to the point where it's a little ridiculous."

Eliot also believes the complaints have gone too far, and it's just time to move on and accept that the Eagles lost to the superior team.

"It's getting close to Niners territory…the number is adding up about Eagles players bringing up this field," ESP said. "The Eagles lost that game because the Chiefs were the better team. They were the better team then, they're the better team now, and they have the better head coach/quarterback duo."
