Baldy picks Lions, says Eagles have 'worst goal line offense' he's ever seen

The Philadelphia Eagles have the worst goal line offense Brian Baldinger has ever seen.

That's what the Audacy NFL insider and former offensive lineman said when explaining his thoughts on picking the Detroit Lions to beat the Eagles on Sunday.

"They've got the worst goal line offense I've ever seen," Baldy said on Audacy Sports' BetQL show. "They can't score from a yard out no matter how many times you give them an opportunity. They're a team that puts up points in the fourth quarter which could make it close, or maybe they can win it. I like what Detroit did last week to the Rams, I like the onside kick, I like the fake punts. I like how they compete. I've been on a team that was 0-7 before and stinks. Like, you don't even want to go outside to get gas in your car, you don't even want to be seen. They can beat the Eagles. They just can. The Eagles defensive right now is giving up 75-percent completion percentage, the worst in the history in the NFL, to quarterbacks. I think Detroit gets a win this week. I don't see the Eagles winning this game."

Earlier on Wednesday, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni compared the Eagles to a flower, saying that you have to keep watering and fertilizing it and wait for it to pop. Baldinger reacted to that metaphor, which did not play well with the Philadelphia media.

"I listened to that press conference today too and I heard that analogy and I was thinking, 'If I was in that room right now, what would I do?" Baldinger said. "Would I honestly believe this?' And that if I was a player, from the outside I definitely don't believe it."

The 2-5 Eagles are 3.5 road favorites at the 0-7 Lions on Sunday.
