The Eagles got a much needed victory on Sunday night over the 49ers, but the most viral video coming from the game doesn't really have anything to do with the game itself.
The 49ers were attempting a comeback down 25-14 facing a goal-line situation, ready to cut the Eagles' lead to one score. Eagles defensive tackle Malik Jackson is seen sneakily moving the spot of the ball with his foot.
It's a game of inches!
Now, of course, the internet is fighting over whether this is funny or cheating, or both. To be honest, I'm not sure what happened to the spot of the ball — if the refs realized Jackson moved it or not — but Jerick McKinnon scored and the 49ers cut the lead to 25-20, eventually losing by that score.
Jackson, a savvy 30-year-old veteran as you can see, has a 0.5 sacks, 8 combined tackles, and already 9 QB hits in four games this season.
