The Philadelphia Eagles have made a trade with the Dallas Cowboys, moving up in the first-round from pick No. 12 to pick No. 10, first reported by Ian Rapoport.
With the 10th overall pick, the Eagles selected WR DeVonta Smith from Alabama, reuniting with college teammate Jalen Hurts.
The Cowboys received a third-round pick from the Eagles later in the 2021 NFL Draft and selected PSU linebacker Micah Parsons with the 12th overall selection.
Jaylen Waddle, Jaycee Horn, and Patrick Surtain—three of the top four betting favorites to be selected by the Eagles—were off of the board after the 9th pick. Smith, the fourth, was still available.
Back on March 26th, Howie Roseman made a massive move, trading picks No. 6 and No. 156 overall to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for No. 12 overall, No. 123 overall, and a 2022 first-round pick.
Tonight, he worked his magic and got back into the top 10 for a big time wide receiver.
