Eagles place Landon Dickerson on COVID list

The Eagles game vs. Washington being moved from Sunday to Tuesday could result in them losing one of their top offensive linemen.

The Eagles placed left guard Landon Dickerson on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Sunday, meaning is status for Tuesday's game is now in serious question.

It is not clear at this point how long Dickerson will be out, but with the game just two days away, it seems unlikely he would test out by kickoff. The team did get back receiver Quez Watkins, who was activated from the COVID list.

The loss of Dickerson is a significant one, as the rookie has been outstanding next to Jordan Mailata, and played a big role in the Eagles being so dominant in the run game. With Dickerson out the Eagles starting offensive line will likely look like this:

LT: Jordan Mailata
LG: Sua Opeta
C: Jason Kelce
RG: Nate Herbig
RT: Lane Johnson

Herbig was already slated to start for an injured Jack Driscoll. With Herbig and Opeta playing, the Eagles are now without two of their top interior offensive linemen.

Making matters worse for the Eagles is that as a result of the game being moved from Sunday to Tuesday, Washington got back a few key members of their defensive line, including Montez Sweat and Jonathan Allen.

Meaning that by this game moving backed the Washington defensive line got better — and the Eagles offensive line got worse.
