Doug Pederson confirmed on Monday afternoon that Eagles safety Rodney McLeod is out for the season with a torn ACL.
McLeod, 30, is in his 5th season with Philadelphia after signing with the Eagles as unrestricted free-agent in 2016. This offseason he signed a two-year deal with Philadelphia.
The undrafted safety from the University of Virginia has had a very successful NFL career thus far racking up 14 interceptions, 11 forced fumbles, and 535 combined tackles over nine NFL seasons.
This season McLeod has one interception, seven pass deflections, and 66 combined tackles for the 4-8-1 Eagles.
In 2018, McLeod suffered a torn MCL in Week 3 ending his season. Now, McLeod starting the 2021 season on time is in jeopardy.
