Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox was more animated than usual in his post game press conference following the Eagles' ugly loss at the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
The 30-year-old six-time Pro Bowler explained that he wants to play more aggressively, but can only "play what's being called."

“Honestly, it’s just not what it’s been," Cox told the media after Sunday's 33-22 loss. "Obviously, you just have to play what’s being called and when you’re so used to playing so aggressive the last—however many years I’ve been playing—it just changed. So, you can’t just be as aggressive, kind of got to play what’s being called.”
Cox wasn't finished.
“I don’t get paid to play screens," he said, "I get paid to sack the quarterback, play in the backfield, tackle. I don’t get paid to play screens. Get a screen, we get screened all the time, just get out of the stack and run to the football.”
Cox seemed to be calling out 38-year-old first-year Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon. Through seven games this season, Cox has just 1.0 sack, 3 QB hits, and 11 combined tackles.
