4 reasons why now free-agent CB Jaire Alexander makes sense for Eagles

The Green Bay Packers released star cornerback Jaire Alexander on Monday morning and 94WIP's Eliot Shorr-Parks has four reasons why he makes sense for the Philadelphia Eagles as a potential signee.

1. He makes a ton of sense. Has been an elite player when healthy but injuries have been an issue. Probably undervalued right now. Screams Eagles player that comes to Philly and returns to form.

2. In 2024, Alexander graded out similar to Quinyon Mitchell and Darius Slay, per PFF. He graded out higher than every single Eagles corner. He can definitely still play, but has only played in 16 total games over the last two years.

3. Signing Alexander would complicate the roster. It would probably mean the end of Keele Ringo having a chance to start. Adoree Jackson would be in a tough spot as well. But Alexander is probably better than both players.

4. Alexander is only 28, so he could be a fit next to Mitchell and DeJean for the next two-plus years, if he comes here and plays well.
