2021 NFL Draft: Predicting landing spots for notable Day 2 prospects
A year ago, a slew of impact players - Tee Higgins, Antoine Winfield Jr., Laviska Shenault Jr., Chase Claypool and Jalen Hurts - were selected in the second round of the NFL Draft. Let's take a look at who could be taken Friday night and potentially make an immediate impact at the NFL level.

Azeez Ojulari
Projected Landing Spot: New York Jets
Many expected Ojulari would go in the final 10 picks of the first round, but he remains on the board at the outset of Round 2. Ojulari racked up 9 1/2 sacks and 12 1/2 tackles for a loss in his final season at Georgia. Drae Harris of The Draft Network says that "any defense with hybrid even/odd front principles will have no problems using him as a valuable chess piece." We're pretty sure that Robert Saleh and Jeff Ulbrich will be able to get the most out of Ojulari.

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah
Projected Landing Spot: Las Vegas Raiders
There was some temptation to put the Philadelphia Eagles here, but Howie Roseman and company have typically been hesitant to use major resources on the linebacker position. The truth is that Owusu-Koramoah probably was a first-round talent, but one that could slip just because of the position he plays. We're going to project the Raiders here, but he's someone that's difficult to pin, just because some of the linebacker-needy teams run 3-4 base defenses, and the belief is that Owusu-Koramoah is more of a 4-3 fit.

Trevon Moehrig
Projected Landing Spot: Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles did sign former Minnesota Vikings safety Anthony Harris this offseason, but that was only to a one-year deal. Additionally, veteran Rodney McLeod tore his ACL in December, and 2021 is the final non-dummy year of his contract. In Round 1, the Eagles made an investment at wide receiver, selecting DeVonta Smith. This franchise is rebuilding for the first time in a long time, and one area that probably warrants multiple selections is the secondary. Moehrig will be the first.

Dyami Brown
Projected Landing Spot: Kansas City Chiefs
Andy Reid would know how to get the best out of Brown, who averaged 18.7 yards per reception. Brown is probably best suited to go somewhere that he won't be expected to be a No. 1 or No. 2 receiver - at least from the jump - and the Chiefs would present such a situation. Brown would join an offense that already includes Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman, becoming another big-play threat for Patrick Mahomes.

Asante Samuel Jr.
Projected Landing Spot: Atlanta Falcons
While Asante Samuel Sr. is most remembered for his stints with the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles, he spent his final two NFL seasons with the Falcons. Now, ESPN's Steve Muench has sold us on his son beginning his career in Atlanta, who own the No. 35 pick. Pro Football Focus says that none of the cornerbacks currently on the Falcons roster were among the top 60 players at the position in 2020, making this a glaring need.

Elijah Moore
Projected Landing Spot: Arizona Cardinals
Moore is an interesting prospect because evaluations of him are all over the place. ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. says that Moore is the top available prospect at any position heading into Day 2. But while Kiper had Moore as the 16th player on his big board, The Draft Network ranked him at 59. We're going to say that Kliff Kingsbury and the Arizona Cardinals add another weapon in Moore with the 49th pick, and his juice will probably be a nice addition to an offense led by Kyler Murray.

Kyle Trask
Projected Landing Spot: Washington Football Team
After the top five quarterbacks, there's a pretty steep fall-off at the position, to the point where it wouldn't surprise us if it takes until Round 3 for the next passer to come off the board. Stanford's Davis Mills and Texas A&M's Kellen Mond could be candidates to be the first quarterback taken on Day 2, but we're going to say that Trask ultimately gets that nod. Washington has two third-round picks, one of which can be used to take a chance on Trask, who tossed 43 touchdowns in his senior season at Florida.

Terrace Marshall Jr.
Projected Landing Spot: Detroit Lions
The Lions made a smart decision in Round 1 of the Draft to take Oregon tackle Penei Sewell at No. 7, who will become a building block on their offensive line. But after losing both Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr. in free agency, it's imperative that the Lions find a pass catcher for Jared Goff on Day 2. Marshall displayed a nose for the endzone, hauling in 23 touchdowns over his final two seasons at LSU. Joe Marino of The Draft Network compares Marshall to Miami Dolphins wideout DeVante Parker, which would be a nice caliber of player for the Lions to land with the 41st pick.

Christian Barmore
Projected Landing Spot: New England Patriots
Not a single interior defensive lineman was selected in Round 1 Thursday, setting up Barmore to potentially be one of the first names off the board Friday. Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Media does cite "a boom/bust factor" with Barmore, though we're pretty confident that Bill Belichick could get the most out of him. We're projected that Barmore rejoins Mac Jones in New England, with the Patriots potentially moving up a few spots to secure him.
