Let's get this one out of the way early: this 20 cent miracle bet that had about as much of a chance of hitting as the Jets have a chance of making the playoffs, as you can guess, did not hit.
What were the bets that went into making this parlay? A Carson Wentz receiving touchdown? A Falcons money line bet after they took a lead? A Jets victory over the Rams? Oh, wait...
That one did happen. And so did many others that made newly-wealthy bettors a lot of money in Week 15, whether by pure stupid luck or some sort of sixth sense. If you missed last week's edition of this ongoing compilation, check it out below.
Alshon Jeffery, Lamar Jackson and others responsible for craziest sports betting wins of NFL Week 14

In the Cowboys we — or at least one bettor — trust | -109
Tony Pollard sprints past the 49ers defense for a touchdown.(Tom Pennington/Getty Images)It's not the odds that matter in this one. It's the fact that one brazen bettor who I simply have to suspect is a Cowboys fan risked a whopping and oddly specific $55,577.92 on the Cowboys to cover 3.5 points against the 49ers in Week 15. It's like going all in with an 8-3 off-suit hand, only for the opponent to agree with a 7-2 off-suit.
And it worked.
Chad Hansen plays hero in eight-leg touchdown parlay | +60606

DeAndre Hopkins, going against a vulnerable Eagles secondary without Darius Slay among other injuries. Lamar Jackson, going against Jacksonville and fresh off his best game of the season. Robert Tonyan, who now has a whopping 10 touchdowns this season and a whopping one Pro Bowl snub as well.
The risky one, though, was Texans wide receiver Chad Hansen, who entered Houston's Week 15 clash with the top-notch Indianapolis Colts defense with a grand total of zero touchdowns in his career.
Clearly, that went a long way in making this bet a fruitful one.
Someone, somehow, knew something about Quez | +2200
Quez Watkins celebrates his first career touchdown against the Cardinals.(Christian Petersen/Getty Images)I've watched every minute of every Eagles game throughout this frustrating season, and I had heard Quez Watkins' name called maybe one or two times the entire season prior to Week 15. After all, he had played 42 snaps the entire season, with a season-high 22 in Week 14 in which he recorded one catch for three yards.
So when he was found by Jalen Hurts outside on a short pass and he took it up the sideline and to the house, you could consider Eagles fans pleasantly surprised.
Was it a pleasant surprise for the bettor who risked $300 on that exact prop, though? Or did that bettor know something that we didn't? Regardless, this curiously confident wager resulted in quite the pay day.
Browns-Giants same-game parlay fires on all cylinders | +17984
Colt McCoy fires a pass against his former team, the Cleveland Browns.(Al Bello/Getty Images)What do Donovan Peoples-Jones, Darius Slayton, Evan Engram and Austin Hooper have in common? They're all talented and wildly unpredictable skill players in terms of what their weekly production might be. So meshing them all together in one same-game parlay seems like a disastrous way to lose money... or gain a whole lot if it somehow goes right.
Meanwhile, Nick Chubb has been a solid and reliable beast since returning from injury in 2020, and it only made sense that while this bettor took the overs on every player mentioned above, he took the under on the one established superstar in the equation.
Some parlays just defy explanation, I guess.
Jets and Bengals ruin draft day positioning, but satisfy handful of bettors | +7992
Ryan Finley smiles as he strolls into the end zone untouched for the score.(Jamie Sabau/Getty Images)The Jets were 17-point underdogs. The Bengals were 14-point underdogs. So it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that parlaying the two underdogs together on a money line bet would hold insanely juicy odds for just a two-leg bet.
But calling it "just" a two-leg bet doesn't do it justice. The winless Jets have been abysmal all season and, barring extreme imprudence, would want to continue their losing streak to claim the first overall draft pick. The Steelers, coming off two straight losses — their only two losses — had the perfect get-back-on-track game against the depleted Bengals.
We all know how those story lines turned out.
