The Giants had to wait an extra few moments during their first drive of Saturday's game due to a delay on the field?
The nature of the delay? The first down chain broke, and officials had to wait for a new set to be brought onto the field at Lincoln Financial.
Big Blue was set to run its second play of the game after falling behind early 7-0, but were forced to stay huddled up on the field for several minutes while a new set was brought to the sidelines.
Saquon Barkley couldn't help but run in place to stay loose before action finally resumed. Barkley caught a pass out of the backfield for a short 2-yard gain when play finally resumed.
The delay led many to wonder why chains are still used in the first place, and how with modern technology, there hasn't been a better system found to measure down and distance.
