Howie Roseman is reportedly looking to "make a big swing" for Cleveland Browns star pass rusher Myles Garrett, who requested a trade a few weeks ago.
“Here's what some people are saying right now," Dianna Russini of The Athletic said. "That Howie’s willing to move on from some of these [young] guys because he’s looking to make a big swing and that big swing would be for Myles Garrett. Some of these guys that you think are a sure thing, may not be sure things to return to Philly."
Zack Baun, the Eagles' free-agent All-Pro linebacker, was mentioned in the video as someone Philadelphia could move on from to pursue Garrett.
Speaking at the NFL Combine on Tuesday, Browns GM Andrew Berry was adamant that Cleveland is not trading Garrett, despite the defensive end's pre Super Bowl trade request.
Garrett, who turns 30 in December, has two years remaining on his contract with cap hits of $19.7 million in 2025 and $20.4 million in 2026.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the Eagles would not want to see Garrett go to the divisional rival Washington Commanders and Howie Roseman would step in to try and prevent that.
