Ike Reese was up first, pitching his case for Jalen Hurts to Angelo Cataldi on Tuesday morning in 94WIP Picks The QB.

"This is so complicated. First of all, I believe Jalen Hurts will be the starting quarterback in 2022. Now, I gotta be honest, I can't necessarily say that's because I think that's the best choice, he's the guy moving forward, we shouldn't be looking at other quarterbacks. I believe it's because there won't be a chance to improve on the position.

"Now, that doesn't mean Jalen can't play better next year and change everyone's thoughts about him moving forward. They may feel better about him, but I think there is enough question marks out there right now on Jalen moving forward that the Eagles would have to at least look if there are opportunities there to improve the position. My only issue is, I don't think there is going to be an opportunity there. I don't like the quarterbacks coming out in the draft this year. I think a third year of Jalen Hurts is much better than that. We know the obvious veteran guys that could become available, but until one of those guys says their number one destination is Philadelphia and where they would like to be, I just think it is all just a pipe dream."

"So I think Jalen Hurts—what he did this year, moving forward, coupled with what is available, he is the best option for the Eagles. It almost sounds like we're settling for that, but that's just where we are right now. And for Jalen, he has an opportunity to put more of a stranglehold on the position by playing better. But I don't think he's done enough right now for the Eagles to say, 'We don't need to look for another quarterback.' If that opportunity presents itself, they should look to improve the position, I just don't think it will present itself."

94WIP hosts will continue to make their pitch for who they think should be the Eagles' QB of 2022 throughout the next few weeks, culminating in a final vote on February 24th, with Angelo announcing his choice on Friday, February 25th.

You can make your choice now on our on-going poll, but a new final vote poll will be released on February 24th.
