Ike Reese opened Monday’s show sounding off on the “deflating” loss to the Cowboys on Sunday night, where the Eagles’ most reliable players turned the ball over, and the team dropped its second straight in blowout fashion to other teams that expect to compete for the NFC title.

“We got a lot of things that are ailing us right now as a team that need to be fixed, or we could really see this season go to waste real fast,” Ike said. “To start off 10-1, sitting atop the mountain…and then to go through what we’ve gone through the last two weeks, it’s been eye-opening. It’s been humbling.

“We’re playing sloppy football right now. We’re playing like a team that’s lacking confidence, that is unaware of who they want to be, and who they claim to be.”

Ike sees some troubling trends by the Eagles in recent weeks, and even dating back to the beginning of the season, all of those close games that Philly found a way to win and left fans confident that they were getting wins wihtough playing their best game, Ike worries that the Birds may have shown their best, and could be heading for an early playoff exit.

“I don’t necessarily feel like we’re playing good enough football where we can just assume we’re gonna win the next four games,” Ike said. “We’re just not playing good football right now, and that’s what really has me concerned. We keep talking about, ‘Well, the Eagles haven’t played their best game yet.’ Maybe they have, and their best game isn’t a flawless game.

“They could be one and done. They could make the playoffs, but I don’t know. Go down to a hot Tampa or Atlanta team and you’re playing sloppy football? There’s no guarantee you’re gonna win.”
