ESP: Jalen Hurts can still be this year's NFL MVP

Eliot Shorr-Parks believes Eagles QB Jalen Hurts can still be this year's NFL MVP.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Hurts is now the fourth favorite to win the award at 10-1 (+1000), behind Dak Prescott (+155), Brock Purdy (+165), and Lamar Jackson (+550).

The Chiefs have lost two straight and Patrick Mahomes' odds have plummeted to +1600.

ESP's point is a fair one, as the remaining schedules may make Hurts a reasonable, relatively, good long shot bet.

The Eagles remaining four games are: @ SEA, vs NYG, vs ARZ, and @ NYG.

They will be favorites in all four of those games and have a decently high probability of winning all four of those games, which would bring their final record to 14-3 and making them back-to-back NFC East Champs.

Dallas' remaining schedule looks like: @ BUF, @ MIA, vs DET, @ WAS.

While Dak Prescott is certainly having, by all accounts, a better season than Hurts, it'll be hard to vote for him over Hurts if the Cowboys have one or two more losses than the Eagles and finish second in the division.

Baltimore and San Fran are also both 10-3 right now.

The Ravens face: @ JAX, @ SF, vs MIA, vs PIT to close out.

SF's schedule is: @ ARZ, vs BAL, @ WAS, vs LAR.

Hurts has a career high 15 turnovers in 13 games this season and is coming off of two straight blowout losses, so winning an MVP award might seem ludicrous right now.

However, the Eagles do have what appears to be the easiest remaining schedule, giving Hurts the most likely path to the best record in the NFC.
