The quarterback Madden ratings are out and, to no surprise, Jalen Hurts likely won’t be too thrilled with his ratings.

What is surprising is how low he was rated compared to other quarterbacks.

Hurts was rated a 74 overall in the latest version of Madden, coming in as the 24th best quarterback in the NFL.

Some notable quarterbacks that Madden rated ahead of Hurts? Matt Ryan, Jameis Winston, Baker Mayfield, Jimmy Garrappolo, Ryan Tannehill, Teddy Bridgewater and Tua Tagovailoa.

Of course, as many will point out, this is just a rating in a video game. It doesn’t mean Hurts isn’t the answer at quarterback for the Eagles and it doesn’t mean he is destined to finish as the 24th best quarterback in the NFL this season.

The rating is, however, another reminder that for as good as the Eagles roster is — and it is one of the most talented in the NFL — the team has an unknown at quarterback.

A reality that makes it hard to predict whether this team is capable of living up to the high expectations or destined to come up short due to poor play at the quarterback position.
