Jalen Hurts with 2 turnovers in 6 plays to start 2024
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was picked off on just his second passing attempt of the 2024 season. And then on the very next drive, Hurts fumbled after miscommunication and a bad snap from new center Cam Jurgens.
The interception happened on just the Eagles' third offensive play. Hurts, on a third-and-long from deep in his own territory, lofted a ball up down the middle of the field to a covered DeVonta Smith and was intercepted by Packers safety Xavier McKinney.
Fortunately, the Eagles defense was able to hold Green Bay to a field-goal following both turnovers, keeping the game within one score at 6-0 with 3:01 remaining in the first quarter.
Hurts threw a career-high 15 interceptions last season.
During training camp, 94WIP's Eliot Shorr-Parks tracks stats and reported that Hurts went an Eagles camp record 305 straight pass attempts without throwing an interception this offseason.
