Ray Didinger on Jalen Hurts: 'Needs to play better, more consistent football'
Ray Didinger is concerned about the play of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who continues to turn the ball over.
"He's throwing end zone interceptions like every week," Didinger said on Monday's 94WIP Morning Show with Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie. "You just can't win that way. They pulled it out yesterday...but you need him to play better.
Ultimately he finds a way to win...but the QB has to play better more consistent football."
Hurts threw an interception in the end zone for the second straight game, his fourth pick off the season. He also lost a fumble in Sunday's win over the Saints, his second fumble lost as well.
The only NFL QB with more turnovers than Hurts' six so far this season is Will Levis with eight.
After a career-high 15 interceptions in 2023, Hurts' turnover issue has continued. As a team, Philadelphia—despite a 2-1 record—are a minus-four in the turnover differential department. Only the Tennessee Titans (minus-seven) are worse.
