Philadelphia fans will get to say goodbye to Jalen Reagor on Monday night, and it will not be in the kind way.
Reagor, who returns to face his old team on Monday night at the Linc as a member of the Minnesota Vikings, "doesn't deny there will be some revenge on his mind," Vikings writer Chris Tomasson tweeted.
Reagor, 23, was Philadelphia's 20th overall pick in 2020, two picks ahead of Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson, to the dismay of Eagles fans.
After two disappointing seasons in Philadelphia where he caught 62 total balls for 676 yards, three touchdowns, and underwhelmed as a punt returner, the Eagles traded Reagor to Minnesota for late-round picks.
In his first game as a Viking, Reagor did not play as a wide receiver. He returned one punt of seven yards.
10 days ago, Eagles GM Howie Roseman spoke about the mistake of selecting Reagor over Jefferson on 94WIP.
"I think a lot of the message there is, we just have to take the best players at all times," Roseman said. "We don't have to worry so much about fit or what we have on the team. You go back to that moment, we had two tight ends who were really good in the middle of the field, Greg Ward was coming off of a really good year in the slot. Were looking for a specific role as opposed to just grading the players. That's on me, one hundred percent. At the end of the day, I'm responsible for all of that. But I also promise you one thing , if I make a mistake I'm going to do everything in my power to make it up."
