Jason Kelce on the possibility of an undefeated Eagles season

The Philadelphia Eagles, now 8-0, are just nine wins away from becoming the fifth team in NFL history to finish the regular season undefeated.

But is it better to lose a game and get it out of the way before the playoffs? Angelo Cataldi asked 35-year-old All-Pro Eagles center that question on Thursday.

"I certainly hope we don't lose, coming up here," Kelce said on the 94WIP Morning Show. "I don't know. I'm so focused on just one game at a time, Angelo. It's tough for me to say something like that. I get it. All teams want to go through adversity. Adversity has ways of shaping you. You want to be put in situations throughout the year so that come playoffs you're ready to handle those situations. Now, I don't think that needs to happen losing games or anything like that.

"And we've had some tight games coming down in the fourth quarter. They haven't been like two minute drive type to go win it, but we've had some big four minute drives. We've had some games where the other team starting coming back and we were able to put our foot back on the gas. I think adversity is important for any team, any person to go through. Those end up being the events that shape you and stick with you the most. I understand that narrative, but man it's hard to think about something like that. We're just focused on Washington."

The Philadelphia Eagles are 11-point favorites at home on Monday Night Football vs. the Washington Commanders this week.
