Vinny Curry’s visit with the Jets seems to have gone well.
Just hours after his in-person visit with Gang Green, the defensive end is signing with the Jets, the team announced on Wednesday. Curry turns 33 in June, and will be preparing for his 10th NFL season.
Curry, who went to high school in nearby Neptune, New Jersey, was drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He played his first six seasons with Philadelphia before a brief stop in Tampa Bay in 2018, then returned to the Eagles in his last two seasons.
Curry has played in all 16 games in five of the last seven years. In 2020, he made three starts, recorded 3.0 sacks, three tackles for a loss and 10 quarterback hits.
