Joe Giglio officially hitting panic button on 2023 Eagles

Joe Giglio gave himself a day to decompress and reflect after the Eagles were blown out for a second straight week, hoping he would wake up Tuesday morning with a sense of belief that the Birds would right the ship and turn things around.

That didn't happen Tuesday morning. In fact, it was the opposite.

"Sometimes you have a day after a loss, you go through the emotions, and you feel better. Sometimes, you don't feel better," Joe said. "I'm officially hitting the panic button…I am hitting the panic button on the 2023 Eagles. I hope this thing gets righted and get in the right direction.

"They can't stop anyone on defense. They can't figure it out on offense right now. There is no creativity."

Joe doesn't have a firm belief in Nick Sirianni's ability to adjust as a head coach, nor does he see much on the field in recent weeks to make him believe the turnaround is coming. In fact, he is only seeing evidence that things may be trending in the opposite direction, which is enough reason to sound the alarm.

"Yesterday was a little bit of uncomfortable stuff for me out there, 'leaks' coming out of the locker room," Joe said. "Guys talking about how 'Hey, the other team's offense looks a lot easier than ours.' That kind of stuff that's out there is just as worrisome for me…last year, this locker room felt like it was close and it was tight knit. I'm starting to waver a little bit on the idea that they are still like that."
