Lane Johnson out for remainder of Eagles season

Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson is done for the season due to an ankle injury that has bothered him since training camp.

Johnson announced the news on Friday morning to reporters.

News of Johnson's season-ending injury comes on the same day there was a report that the team would be moving Jason Peters to right guard and starting Jordan Mailata at left tackle.

With Johnson now out as well, it seems the Eagles will be going into Monday night's game against the Seahawks with two new starting tackles and one new starting guard.

Johnson, 30-years old, signed a four-year extension with the Eagles last season. He is now under contract until 2025 season, but the team can get out of the deal without too big of a dead-money cap hit following the 2023 season.
