Jon Marks has big concerns about the Eagles moving forward, mainly because of last year’s MVP candidate.

“My biggest concern with this team right now is Jalen Hurts,” Marks said. “I know the defense stinks…but Jalen Hurts right now, the way he’s playing, I have major concern.

“The only way this team is winning an NFC Championship game and a Super Bowl is if we get the same Jalen Hurts that we saw last year, in the Super Bowl and leading up to the Super Bowl. He was a dual threat, he was dynamic, he was playing with confidence. He was able to throw the football like a lot of people thought he wouldn’t be able to throw the football. If he wasn’t the best quarterback in football, he was right there with the best in football. I’m not seeing that player this year.”

Hurts was one of the most productive quarterbacks in the league last season, and helped lead the Birds to the cusp of a Super Bowl. This season, his touchdown percentage is down, interception percentage is up, and his QBR is down. Marks is worried the Hurts we saw last season may not return this year.

“He looks totally different this year,” Marks said. “It looks like there’s a fumble every week.”
