Miles Sanders is now a Carolina Panther and his recent comments about February's Super Bowl have Eagles fans upset.
"Last game of the season? For all of the marbles? Everybody can answer that question," Sanders told the Associated Press when asked about the Super Bowl. "If they put themselves in my shoes, would they be happy? I don't want to make headlines, if it does, I don't care."
"He's had it so good here, but I don't know that he realizes that yet," Jon Ritchie said on Tuesday's 94WIP Morning Show.
While Joe DeCamara agreed, he told a caller, "I don't feel animosity toward him. Look, he laid his body on the line for four years as an Eagle. He did a pretty good job. He was a little bit of disappointment after we expected a little bit more after the first year or two, but he was a solid player. This is not one of those don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out for me. What he said over the weekend was aggravating, but it shouldn't put a pall over his whole career as an Eagle."
Sanders had just seven carries for 16 yards in the Eagles' Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, playing only 35-percent of the snaps. He did fumble twice in the game, however.
In fact, Sanders played no more than 40-percent of the snaps in each of his last five games as an Eagle, dating back to Week 16 of the regular season. Before than, Sanders played 50-plus percent of the team's snaps throughout Weeks 1-15, en route to the best season his career where he rushed for 1,269 yards and 11 touchdowns.
This offseason, Sanders signed a four-year deal with the Panthers for $25.4 million with $13 million guaranteed.
Sanders, a Pittsburgh native and Penn State graduate, was well liked throughout his productive four-year tenure with the Eagles, but his recent comments may have changed the way he is remembered in Philadelphia.
