Giglio's 4 reasons why Sirianni should take back play calling

Joe Giglio has four reasons why Nick Sirianni should take back play calling duties from first-year offensive coordinator Brian Johnson.

"Hugh, I believe Nick Sirianni should take back play calling of this offense and I'll tell you why," Giglio said on Thursday's 94WIP Midday Show with Hugh Douglas. "I think it's time for him to take back the play calling here of an offense that he started calling the plays for two years ago.

"I've got four things that are just standing out to me as why it's time to me for Sirianni to take this over."

1. It's bad right now

"Last five games they've scored 36 total points in the first half, that's a bad offense in the NFL these days."

2. They're not very good situationally

"They make bizarre decisions late in games...He's not great situationally so what are we losing in terms of him as the "CEO?"

3. Sometimes I think if you're in charge of something you see it with clarity

"You take it back, maybe you'll see it better."

4. It gives some clarity to this whole thing for now and for the future

"If he takes back play calling and it works, we don't have to do this yearly thing...And if stinks again, maybe the Eagles got to have a discussion on, 'Does this guy's offense actually work?'"

During his press conference on Wednesday, Sirianni said the criticism of Johnson is unfair.
