The Philadelphia Phillies playoff games have been a bonding experience for everyone in the city, including the Philadelphia Eagles' players.
"I'm really rooting for them," Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said on Tuesday's 94WIP Morning Show when asked about the Phils, about 11 hours away from the start of Game 7 of the NLCS at Citizens Bank Park. "Man, it's a fun team to watch and I don't want the journey to end."
A bunch of the Eagles players attended Monday night's Game 6 together, including Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, A.J. Brown, Fletcher Cox, and Dallas Goedert.
"I notice our guys going to the games and enjoying each other's company at the game, that's a special thing of how to connect. Those guys are spending time together and those guys will remember, 'Hey remember when we went to the World Series and we watched those games? 'I want those memories to continue to happen for our guys."
Jon Ritchie asked Sirianni if he encourages his players to go to the game.
"Heck yeah, heck yeah," Sirianni said. "Heck yeah I want them to do that. I just want them to find ways to spend time together. I don't care if it's at the baseball game, if it's in the team room where they're playing pool or ping pong, whatever it is I always want that to happen. And you know what, it's been fun watching these games with my son and our family and we're really invested in it and I'm really pulling for them and hoping they get that win tonight, best of luck to them and that team."
