Sirianni on being Super Bowl underdog: 'We don't care about that'

The Philadelphia Eagles are 1.5 point underdogs in Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs, but head coach Nick Sirianni says his team does not care about that.

"We don't care about that, we don't care about that," Sirianni told Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie on Wednesday's 94WIP Morning Show when asked about being the Super Bowl underdog.

"Yeah, we love our team," Sirianni added. "I think thought too, you're going in there against a team that's won the last two Super Bowls. It's a heck of a football team...I've got so much respect for this team. Those are things that you can't control. Yes, we're confident in our team and I love our team. But that's something you can't control, being the underdog. Whatever that means, we don't care about that...If you start thinking about those things that you can't control, where does that stop?"

Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are looking for their NFL record third straight Super Bowl victory, a team that beat Sirianni's Eagles in the Super Bowl just two years ago.

"Watching Coach Reid, I've got a lot of respect for everything he's done," Sirianni said. "I would say him and Bill Belichick as best coaches as all-time, ever, as I look at it."
