Dr. Adam Lyons is a sports and orthopedic medicine specialist with Stroll Medical Group in Philadephia.
Dr. Lyons joined Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show on Thursday to discuss Jalen Hurts' shoulder injury.
"Jalen has a shoulder separation, basically an AC join strain," Dr. Lyons said. "It comes in six flavors, six is the worst and one is least bad. He's got between a one and a two, so structurally things look good. The only unfortunate part of this is it tends to be a nagging injury. So for the average person, six to 12 weeks before they're back to full recovery."
Dr. Lyons sees patients with a wide variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. His area of expertise includes the knee, shoulder, back, neck, elbow, ankle as well as concussion and regenerative medicine /stem cell therapy.
Dr. Lyons grew up in Philadelphia and is the son of a family physicians. He has worked as a team physician for high schools, NCAA division 1 and with the Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers.
Dr. Lyons is a long time Eagles fan and has been supporting the Eagles for the better part of three decades.
