Merrill Reese: Eagles enter '25 as best, but health a 'big part of repeating'

The legendary voice of the Philadelphia Eagles Merrill Reese joined Wednesday's 94WIP Morning Show to discuss the upcoming season.

Reese explained that Nick Sirianni has been very intentional in easing his starters into game action throughout the Summer and the preseason, whereas Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions have done the opposite.

Sirianni's strategy has paid off in terms of playoff health, and ultimately success.

The Eagles host the Bengals on Thursday night in the preseason opener. Bengals coach Zac Taylor says Joe Burrow and the starting offense will play in the game, while Sirianni has not yet made a decision.

Reese also spoke about working with 94WIP's Devan Kaney, who was announced earlier on the 94WIP Morning Show as this year's Philadelphia Eagles Radio Network sideline reporter.

"She did a wonderful job [last season] and she is a very talented broadcaster and she knows her football and she works hard," Reese said of Kaney. "Devan was out at training camp every day this year. I'll think she'll do a terrific job."
