Howard Eskin and Joe Giglio debated who is more to blame for the Eagles' downfall, the players or coaches. Eskin argued the players are to blame.
Eskin: "Joe, you're so over the top with this. You're so WIP, it's ridiculous! Tell me what players are as good or better on this team than they were last year."
Giglio: "Not many, if any. Cam Jurgens, I guess, he didn't play last year."
Eskin: "So with that, and you're blaming the coach, when are the players accountable? The players are accountable. The defense is not good. I'm looking for a player that is better on defense...And then on offense, Jalen Hurts isn't as good as he was last year, but you're going to blame the coach, you're going to blame the coordinator."
Giglio: "It's the same offense. Howard what is more likely, the young quarterback and two young receivers, and a youngish tight end—or middle of his career tight end—all got worse? Or the scheme and the play calling got worse?"
Eskin: "You left out, why is the quarterback not doing the things that they talk about it?"
Giglio: "Howard, I'm wondering what Sirianni does well."
