Ritchie on Eagles' brining back Sirianni: 'Howie is committing to mediocrity'

The Philadelphia Eagles announced a Wednesday press conference with Howie Roseman and Nick Sirianni, effectively announcing the head coach will remain with the organization.

Jon Ritchie, who is still holding out hope that the Eagles make a change at head coach, is not happy about the expected decision.

"It's weak. Howie is failing if he brings Nick Sirianni back," Ritchie said on Tuesday's 94WIP Morning Show with Joe DeCamara. "This is delaying the inevitable. And you've got incredible options out there, you've got incredible Hall of Fame options out there who would coach our team better and improve and develop our quarterback better. Howie is committing to mediocrity if he brings Sirianni back. You've got to fix this. You've got to put us over the top."

Sirianni, in his first three seasons as an NFL head coach, is 34-17 in the regular and 2-3 in the postseason. This past season, however, his team collapsed losing six of their final seven games and putting his job in jeopardy.
