Joe Giglio and Eliot Shorr-Parks (filling in for Hugh Douglas) debated if the Philadelphia Eagles will regret trading safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and if the Philadelphia 76ers should trade Ace Bailey with the No. 3 overall pick on today's 94WIP Midday Show.
Will the Eagles regret trading CJGJ?
ESP: “I do think he is a good player but he is also a flawed player…We inflate Chauncey to more than what he is.”
Giglio: “I think you’re underrating him…They created a hole at safety. They didn’t have to do it.”
CJGJ fired back at Eagles' DC Vic Fangio yesterday after Fangio told the media that the "salary cap" was the reason why Philadelphia traded the defensive back.
"I was a test dummy for them, so now they can be like my "scheme" work , or did my skill set make it work," CJGJ posted on his IG story. "I had 0 issues. Ppl [people] had issues with me."
On March 11th, the Eagles shockingly traded Gardner-Johnson to the Houston Texans for offensive lineman Kenyon Green and a late-round 2026 pick swap.
Should the Sixers take Ace Bailey with the No. 3 overall pick?
ESP: "The Sixers need to find their next star...He showed last year he can definitely shoot. And he has physical attributes that other guys do not. He looks like the type of player that is the best player on a title team."
Giglio: "He played at Rutgers and they didn't even make the tournament. Didn't we learn that last time with Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz? They were losers."
