Seth Joyner goes off on Eagles' defense, calls Jordan Davis a 'wasted draft pick'

Seth Joyner went off on the Philadelphia Eagles' defense on Tuesday morning, just hours after a disgusting 22-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

The Eagles have just 3.0 sacks in their first two games (2.0 from LB Zack Baun) which is worse than just three NFL teams who have 2.0 sacks.

Joyner specifically called out the Eagles' 13th overall pick in 2022 Jordan Davis, who has just 2.0 combined tackles and has played just 50-percent of the snaps so far in 2024.

"Jordan Davis, in my opinion, was a wasted draft pick and I said that on draft night," Joyner said. "Now for two years and two games he's proven that he cannot rush the passer. When you draft a player that high, you have to know for certain."

Davis has just 2.5 sacks and 5 QB hits in 32 games played as an Eagle.

Furthermore, the Eagles' most expensive free-agent signing in defensive end Bryce Huff has not recorded a pressure in two games yet.

The Falcons rushed for 152 yards in their Week 2 win in Philadelphia on Monday night. Bijan Robinson rushed for 97 yards on 14 carries, for 6.9 yards carry. The Eagles have allowed 157.5 yards per game on the ground through their first two games of the season.
