The Philadelphia Eagles are parting ways with offensive coordinator Brian Johnson, first reported by Derrick Gunn on Monday and confirmed by Jeff McLane on Tuesday.
Johnson, 36, lasted just one season as the team's offensive coordinator, his first coordinator role in the NFL.
Johnson joined the NFL after climbing the college ranks in 2021 as the Eagles' quarterback coach, as someone who has coached and known Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts as a child.
Ron Jaworski joined the 94WIP Morning Show on Tuesday and was asked what he is looking for in a new Eagles' OC.
"I think it's got to be someone who is very creative," said Jaws. "I want to see a QB coach, a guy who has worked with quarterbacks. As an offensive scheme, you must dictate the terms of engagement."
However, Hurts seemingly regressed in 2023 in Johnson's offense, throwing a career-high 15 interceptions.
