Why: A converted safety, Sherwood is super athletic for the position and great in coverage. Played 36% of snaps at safety in 2021, then 2%/17% at LB while learning the position. Killed it in 2024 with 93% of the snaps.
Robert Spillane, Raiders
Age: 29
Stats: 158 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 INTs, 7 PD
Why: Production machine with plenty of experience. 306 combined tackles the last two years, 173 solo, 11 PD, 5 INTs, 5.5 sacks.
Ernest Jones, Seattle
Age: 25
Stats: 138 tackles last year, 77 solo tackles. 5 sacks, 1 INT, 1 FF, 10 PD last two years
Why: Young but has 63 games of experience, won a Super Bowl in 2021 with the Rams. 3 years of 100+ tackles in a row. Monster 2023 season (14 TFL, 145 tackles).
Dre Greenlaw, 49ers

Stats: 247 tackles, 157 solo, 8 TFL, 4 QB hits, 1 INT, 1.5 sacks, 2 FF the last two seasons
Why: Buy low, high upside. Suffered Achilles injury in 2023 Super Bowl, played 34 snaps last year. Has had injury concerns but was elite when healthy.
Nick Bolton, KC

Why: Championship DNA. Three seasons of 100+ tackles in 4 years and 80 in 8 games the other. 4 INTs the last 3 years. 5 sacks. 17 QB hits in 4 years.
Tyrel Dodson, MIA

Stats: Dodson finished with 107 tackles, three interceptions, and six passes defensed last season.
Why: Was a part-time player in Buffalo the first 4 years, in 2024 he signed with the Seahawks and went to Miami halfway through the year. Had 3 INTs with MIA in 8 games
Kyzir White, ARI
Age: Turns 29 on March 24th
Stats: 137 tackles, 60 solo, 9 TFL, 8 QB hits, 1 INT, 3 PD, 0 FF, 2.5 sacks Why: Familiar with the city, the team. Could be easy transition from Gannon defense to Fangio.
