ESPN's Bill Barnwell lists Eagles among 5 most likely teams to decline
ESPN's Bill Barnwell has released his annual article listing his five most likely NFL teams to decline and the Philadelphia Eagles are on it for 2024.
"My instincts tell me they are going to have the exact same record [as last year]," Joe DeCamara said reacting to the ESPN article on Thursday's 94WIP Morning Show. "My instincts are 11 wins, but an 11 wins where they shouldn't be dead upon on arrival entering the playoffs."
"I'm more likely moving up to 12 [wins] than backwards to 10," Jody McDonald, filling in for Jon Ritchie, said.
The Steelers, Giants, Ravens, and Browns were the other four teams Barnwell listed as most likely to decline in 2024.
Barnwell notes that the Eagles outscored their opponents by less than a touchdown last season, or just 0.3 points per game. Barnwell believes the Eagles' one-score wins will regress back to the mean in 2024.
Barnwell's colleague Dan Orlovsky disagrees, stating the Eagles will be much better under new coordinators Vic Fangio and Kellen Moore.
