Joe DeCamara posed a question on today's 94WIP Morning Show, as Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie gets set to meet with head coach Nick Sirianni on Friday: Do you trust Lurie in this moment?
"I absolutely trust Jeffrey Lurie," Ritchie said. "I think he does set a new standard for ownership in the NFL. He is great at his job, so much so, he's in a separate tier—the sensible owner who actually does everything his team needs, without going over the top, without making it about him.
"Is he on top of this situation? Absolutely, it means everything to Jeffrey Lurie."
Lurie, according to a report from SI.com's Ed Kracz, was in Saint Martin earlier this week shopping for a luxury boat.
"I hate the perception of that and the only way I could explain that is that was scheduled long, long ago and we didn't expect to be losing when we lost."
James Seltzer was critical of Lurie reportedly boat shopping, "This guy should know better. That's his reason for why he can't handle things immediately? How does he not know better? Maybe he wanted to give some time for Sirianni. Come up with a different excuse!"
