Baldinger on 2024 Eagles: 'Pass rush is my biggest concern'

Brian Baldinger admits he is concerned about the Philadelphia Eagles' pass rush, or lack thereof, entering the 2024 season.

"I'm concerned," Baldy told Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie when asked about the Eagles' pass rush on Tuesday's 94WIP Morning Show. "That's my biggest concern on the whole team. They have been built around a two tier system where you dress and play eight guys and you rotate them and I'm concerned. I'm concerned about where the rush is going to come from.

"Brandon Graham, the guy is going to go down as an all-timer Philadelphia Eagle. I don't know what he has left. I don't know what he has, I don't know if he knows. But you tell me what you're excited about. We have not seen anything from Jordan Davis in two years. Are we going to see a different Jordan Davis this year? Because I don't know. I want to see him stay on the field for five plays because I haven't seen that yet."

The man everything is looking at to carry the Eagles' defensive line is second-year defensive tackle Jalen Carter, the team's No. 9 overall pick last season. In 16 games played as a rookie, Carter showed flashes of brilliance recording two forced fumbles, six sacks, nine QB hits and eight tackles for loss finishing second in the AP defensive rookie of the year voting.

"There's no Chris Long coming off the bench on this roster right now. Yes, Jalen Carter, he is the perfectly constructed defensive tackle and he has the ability to be a top five defensive tackle in this whole business. It's really up to him and I don't know, how they use him," Baldinger added.
